Won NaNoWriMo again :) I've done NaNo every year since 2012. I didn't reach 50K in 2014 or 2016 due to job and mental health issues. I didn't have a clear novel for this year so I went with a hodgepodge of varying projects that I needed to get done. Out of my two current novel ideas, neither were developed enough for me to write out a whole 50K. I really don't like flying by the seat of my pants as it just turns into a giant mess that has to be corrected through hours of editing.
What I worked on:
1) Whatever It Takes - my 22K entry for the DCU Big Bang. I had to do a lot of editing and rewriting to get this one in good condition for posting. This easily took up 20K of NaNo, which is probably cheating but it was also interesting for me to see the previous incarnations of scenes and chapters before I was satisfied.
2) JayDick and Sladin Week entries - Revising some, adding new content, trying to get further in the story. I was only able to complete one story, but I did get 4 more started so there's an accomplishment.
3) Second Chances - The second half of this fic was already written between 2014-2016. Most of what I did with this was rough revisions, working on the pacing, arranging things differently, and writing out endings. I now have Chapters 9-Chapter 12 roughly complete.
4) Snippets of future projects. A prologue to my novel, two scenes from a fic I'm going to write once I've read enough to know the foundation of the time I'm setting this fic in, a new beginning to a crime fic.
This year's NaNo was definitely interesting. Next year, I hope to be working on a novel. But I am proud of what I was able to accomplish.
