Author's Comment: For the "phobias" prompt. I wrote this back in April when I was really fleshing out San's story. Then since I gave present day San a neighbor it was just easier to transition into an original work. Since everything is so different anyway it's only changing names and some basic details on appearances. This fic was interesting to write because it's present tense/first person. It really helped me get in San's head.

Author's Comment: I was worried this chapter would take me a while to write. It flowed pretty well actually. I wrote some new scenes but used some from the original. I made the section from Ruiza's perspective rougher to show what the state of his mind is like.

Author's Comment: Finally, I've gotten to Ruiza's part of the story. I've had Ruiza's awakening as a vampire done since April. I just had to catch up with the rest of the story. For those who have read "Evening Routine" you should recognize one of the scenes. I copied Ruiza's dream from that story to put in this one, revised it, and added more detail. Ending this chapter ended up being tricky... I had to keep adding scenes to make it feel more complete.

Summary: After getting his hair stuck in a thorny bush, Asagi cracks and asks a surprised Atsushi to cut his long hair.
Author's Comment: I found this fic in my "Life or Death" folder and realized I'd totally forgotten about it. It's set after Asagi's a vampire and when Atsushi and him are traveling. Asagi's health prevents him from traveling when he's alive so Atsushi wants him to see more of their world now that he has the strength to do so.
